The Path of Least Resistance (is the wrong path)

March 21, 2018

The path of least resistance never leads to success. Never. It leads only to a lesser life. The illusion is that it is a safe life but it is not. It is only lesser.

No one achieves significance by staying inside their comfort zone, downsizing their dreams, capitulating to lesser goals, avoiding tough conversations or being risk adverse. No one.

There will be times you want to give up, give out, give in and just ride it out but that is existing and not living.

The path to success is challenging in every way, it will stretch you beyond comprehension and will take everything you have to navigate it. It is also worth it!

Be strong and of good courage today. The climb is tough but the view is incredible!

You were created for a purpose!

God is for you and not against you!

The path of least resistance is the wrong path.

Every time.

-Rev Shane L. Bishop has been the Sr. Pastor of Christ Church in Fairview Heights, IL since 1997.

  1. I wish that someone, a mentor perhaps, had drilled that into me from a young age. I think I could have achieved much more in my life but I held back somewhat out of fear of failing. Now I know it’s okay to fail. At least one has tried. The failure is a stepping stone, a lesson to learn from for the next time. It is better to try and fail than to miss out on life’s opportunities. And each time one tries, you get smarter and stronger. Having a mentor in life is so important. I wish more seasoned Christians would help younger ones grow along the way. I never had one and it would have made a big difference in my life.
